Great White Tattoo sits on Oak Road in Kirrawee, in Sydney's Sutherland Shire. It's a custom shop built around a resident crew whose work runs from bold traditional right through to fine detail.
The studio's real strength is range. Traditional and neo-traditional flash, black and grey and colour realism, portraiture, chicano, fine line and traditional Japanese all live under one roof, so a brief can be matched to the right artist rather than forced into a single house style. Consultations are free and cover-ups are part of the regular work, which suits people bringing an involved idea or reworking older ink. Several of the artists have been tattooing for a decade or more, and the room has a settled, easy-going feel.
A licensed Shire studio that leans on a deep, experienced bench rather than one signature look.
