About Minamoto Tattoo
Minamoto Tattoo is a Palm Beach studio on the southern Gold Coast, opened in 2025 and named after the Minamoto samurai clan for its ideas of discipline and quiet craft. The shop deliberately covers a wide stylistic range under one roof.
Founder Nicky brings around a decade in the industry and works alongside a small resident team across Japanese, realism, black-and-grey, fine-line, blackwork, dotwork, traditional, lettering and chicano work, plus cover-ups and reworks. The studio is set up to be approachable for a first tattoo as much as a larger custom project, with free consultations and a detailed aftercare plan going home with every client.
Walk-ins are taken across the week when an artist is free, and custom quotes are worked out per piece with each artist.
